Yet another wonderful challenge, World Religion Challenge 2010 is hosted by J.T. Oldfield from Bibliofreakblog. It runs from January 1, 2010 to December 31, 2010. It will also include other activities around understanding world Religions such as movies, conversations, or attending services. Which could be very enlightening!
To join, find out more, or to follow the challenge site for updates - click on the gold badge on the left, and to link to Bibliofreakblog and J.T. click on the center badge.
There are 4 levels of involvement. I have chosen - The Unshepherded Path: Read as many books and do as many activities as you would like about whatever religion(s) you want.

This sounds like a fun and informative challenge. I had a friend in college whose nickname was Buddha. I met him as Buddha. Everyone we knew called him Buddha. His real name was Brian, and that always sounded weird to my ears.
Anyway, good luck and good learning!

Thanks!
What a cool nick name... Buddha
I loved studying religions in college and at one time considered doing a masters in comparative religion for women.
Now what would I have done with that degree other than being some sort of clergy? and I am not religious.
It just fascinates me.
You should join. Its very flexible. :)
This sounds fabulous. I watch your blog and am jealous of all your reading and armchair adventures. I can't wait for my holiday break so I can do more recreational reading! I'll be watching for your favorite selection of this challenge.

For working full time you do very well in the reading department.
